Rain Song

Oh great Mother Earth
Please hear my plea
For some enlightening rain
To be dispensed at
The place I call home
Since at the moment
The air is to much to bear

I ask you friendly
And polite to relief
The pressure in the air
During the next day
And during the coming night

Oh great Mother Earth
How I have learned
To respect and worship thee
In the last six months
And therefore please grant
My wish and my plea
For a burst of rain upon me

Thank you for listening to me
